As we know the FAIRTRADE label has come to be known as a moral stance in the industry but the implementation has left gaps in certain regions of the world, especially Africa.
Most farmers in Africa are small, own less than a hectare and cannot afford to pay the licensing fees for the FAIRTRADE or ORGANIC labels even though buying their coffee is both FAIRTRADE and ORGANIC. That is where we step-in, to bring their story to the forefront, be their voice for change and champion a better future for them.
We are a family-owned business and have a strong appreciation of the work and stress of the farmers taking care of their families. That is why we make sure to take good care of the farmers so that they take good care of us by taking great care of the coffee.
Premiums are paid back to the co-operative directly for all sales made on our coffee.
